城市精神的作用及提炼——兼论新时期常州城市精神

摘　　要：城市精神凝集了一座城市的历史传统、文化底蕴和时代风貌,集中反映了市民的价值追求、思想观念和道德风尚。城市精神具有凝聚作用、导向作用、动力作用和形象作用。提炼城市精神可以遵循下列原则:历史性、时代性与前瞻性相结合的原则,民族精神与地域特色相结合的原则,民众讨论、专家研究与组织决定相结合的原则,内涵丰富与语言精美相结合的原则,稳定性与动态性相结合的原则。常州城市精神可以概括为:重信;尚智:创新;争先。这一城市精神对于推动常州的建设与发展必将产生重大作用。City spirit includes history, culture and the spirit of the times, reflecting the people＇s pursuit of value, ideology and morality. City spirit has the effects of condensation, guidance, motivation and image. To abstract the city spirit can follow the principles of historical era, prospective combining with the regional characteristics, the principle of the national spirit combining with the local feature, the principle of public discussion, experts＇ research combining with the leaders＇ decision and the principle of rich connotation combining with the fine language, the principles of stability and dynamics. The city spirit of Changzhou can be summarized as： honesty; advocating wisdom; innovation and to become the first. The city spirit will have a great impact on the city＇s development and improvement.
