摘 要:本研究通过定量研究方法考察英语专业学生对待自我以及他人语音学习成就的态度是否存在性别差异。结果发现:(1)男生更认同男性语音,而女生更认同女性语音;(2)男生更能接受差的语音;(3)男生更认为他人的语音需要进一步改进;(4)女生对各语音样本之间的差距比男生认为的要大;(5)男生的语音自我评价比女生稍高,对提高语音的信心比女生稍大。本文试图从生理、心理和社会等方面来解释这些性别差异的原因,并指出在语音教学中,教师应根据学生性别差异特点因性施教,充分发挥男女生生理、心理发展的各自优势,培养积极正确的学习态度,从而最大限度地发挥各自的学习潜力。This paper reports an investigation into gender differences in attitudes towards pronunciation achievements by Chinese English majors. The results show that (1) boys favor male pronunciation, while girls favor female pronunciation; (2) boys can better accept non-standard pronunciation; (3) boys feel it is necessary for others to improve their pronunciation; (4) girls feel there are greater gaps between different samples of pronunciation; (5) boys have a higher self-evaluation of their pro- nunciation, and a stronger self-confidence in pronunciation improvement. The paper then seeks explanations for these timings from biological, psychological and social perspectives, and gives suggestions for English pronunciation teaching based on the gender differences.
