博物馆书法展品解说词中审美术语的翻译——以“平正”为例

摘　　要：以"平正"为例,探讨博物馆书法展品解说词中书法审美术语的翻译方法。依据古今书法文献,概括中国书法审美术语"平正"的两层意义。以台北故宫、北京故宫书法展品中英文解说词为例,指出"平正"翻译中的问题。结合美国大都会、弗利尔美术馆及香港中文大学文物馆书法展品解说词及林语堂英文著作中对相关书法术语的译介,提出"平正"的翻译方法。This paper attempts to discuss the translation methods of terms of calligraphy appreciation in the museum introductions to calligraphy works on display with pingzheng as an example. Based on some traditional and modern calligraphy texts, the discussion begins with the two meanings ofpingzheng, and problems with its translations in the National Palace Museum of Taipei and the Palace Museum of Beijing are pointed out. Checking against the renderings ofpingzheng in Metropolitan Museum of Art and Freer Gallery of Art as well as Lin Yutang＇s English works, the paper attempts to propose the correct way to translate pingzheng.
