摘　　要：红木雕刻工艺是以红木为基本材料的一种传统雕刻工艺,红木是约定俗成的特定的集合名称,实体包括了30多树种,习惯归纳为红木的材料有紫檀木、花梨木,香枝木、黑酸枝木、红酸枝木、乌木、条纹乌木和鸡翅木等8类。因这类木材的颜色都是红紫色红褐色,故称红木,红木是质地最坚硬的木类。With continuous development of realistic rosewood carving,its contents and forms increasingly expand.The realistic rosewood carving sublimes from pure craft process to artistry and artistic conception.Depicting objects should 'focus on interior spirit and exterior appearance'.It is necessary to advocate communications between artists and objects.This is the explorative direction of creative activities aimed to handing down the traditional rosewood carving craft.
