摘　　要：以收集、分类、对照和剖解汉英语言中"头(head)"词族的共时语义范畴为着眼点,考察相关概念的推演历程及其内部认知机制,阐释人类对客观世界构拟的确切路径,希冀验证隐喻手段在词义范畴的扩展与延伸及整个词汇系统孳乳中发挥的决定性作用。Based on the collection, classification, comparison and analysis of the synchronic semantic category of ＂head＂ word family, the article calculates relevant concepts＇ deduction processes and their inner cognitive mechanism, and illustrates the tangible means of humankind in simulating the physical world, in an attempt to reason the decisive role played by metaphor in expanding and extending semantic categories and the constitution of the whole vocabulary system.
