超越大西洋两岸的人性关怀——从文化和人性双重视角探索亨利·詹姆斯“国际主题”的演变

摘　　要：詹姆斯的"国际主题"是跨文化且动态发展的,历经了从早期强调欧美文化冲突到晚期探索完美人性的演变过程。从文化和人性双重视角分析詹姆斯早、晚期代表作《黛西.米勒》和《金碗》,可看出其"国际主题"发展的轨迹。詹姆斯对文化和人性的研究体现了詹姆斯对集文化融合和人性完美为一体的人类理想文明孜孜不倦的探索和追求。Henry James,a prominent Euro-American novelist and literary theoretician,distinguishes himself for his novels with ＂international theme＂.Most researches are confined to its cultural domain,and also just the static interpretations of the theme.This thesis explores the dynamic evolution of James’ ＂international theme＂ from his early emphasis on cultural conflict to his later exploration of perfect human nature by tracing the differences in Daisy Miller and The Golden Bowl,the representatives of his early and later works in terms of culture and humanity.It finally indicates that James assiduously strives to seek the ideal human civilization with its integration of cultural fusion and perfect humanity in his lifelong exploration of culture and humanity,though different,yet equally satisfactory.
