摘　　要：张謇一生勤于书法,书法创作颇具成就,书学思想自成体系。其书学思想以"尽应世之用"的书法实用思想为主导,注重书法的济世功用,讲求踏实勤奋的学书态度及谨严求精的学书方法,并看重书家品性及学识修养。其书法实践及书学思想对近代南通书法的发展起了很大的促进作用。Zhang Jian had worked hard on calligraphy during his whole life and got splendid achievements. His thoughts on calligraphy were systematic and focused on the standard of 'practicalities to the society'. Zhang Jian attached importance to the practicalities of calligraphy,and the diligent learning methods and rigorousacademic methods,he also valued the morality and taste.His thoughts of calligraphy promoted the development of Nantong calligraphy during the late Qing dynasty and are still valuable and in spiration altous when we discuss the present calligraphy creation and education.
