摘　　要：影视作品以其独有的形式和手段向学习者传递其显性及隐性的教育内容,充分发挥影视作品在英语学习中的教育功效,有助于培养听、说、读、写等综合应用能力强的新世纪英语人才。《叫我第一名》是一部感人至深的美国励志电影。通过观赏电影,学习者不仅可以学习并实践其语言知识和技能,而且可以在不知不觉中体会并进一步了解影片中所隐含的美国社会文化知识,从而达到隐性教育的效果。Film and television works can transfer the dominant and recessive educational contents to learners with its unique form and means. They can give full play to their educational effects on English learning, which plays an important role in improving listening, speaking, reading, writing and cultivating the other comprehensive ability of English learners to meet the requirement of the new century. The movie of In front of Class is a touching and inspirational American film. By watching the film, learners can not only learn and practice the language knowledge and skills, but also can further understand American social and cultural knowledge implied in the film.
