摘　　要：ESP课程是与特定行业相关的应用型英语课程,充分体现了高职的办学理念和人才培养目标,因而也成为高职英语发展的必然趋势。高职院校只有把握"以就业为导向"的原则,积极应对ESP教学的机遇和挑战,从课程设置、教学内容、教学方法、师资队伍和评估体系建设等入手,构建适应社会发展和市场需求的高职ESP课程体系,才能培养出更多的"语言+专业"的复合型人才。ESP courses are practical and usually relate to specific industry.They can well present the philosophy and talent training objec fives ff higher vocational education, therefore, become the inevitable trend of English teaching at higher vocational college.It is necessary for the college to cope with the opportunities and challenges teaching with the employment-oriented principle,adjust the curriculum setting, teaching content and mode and construct;ed teaching staff and evaluation systems so as to adapt to the needs of the society and train more ＂language ＋ specialty＂ composite talents.
