摘 要:指出大学英语教学中存在的学生、教学管理者、用人单位、教师和学生家长"五不满意"的现状,从大学英语课程性质、需求分析、师资队伍和教学评估体系等四个方面阐述了对教育部提出的科学的大学英语教学改革观的认识,展望了大学英语教学改革必将更加注重服务于学校的办学目标,服务于院系专业需要,服务于学生个体发展需要的趋势。The so-called "Five Dissatisfactions"with the present college English instruction(CEI) in China are discussed,namely,dissatisfactions on the parts of college students,education management,employers,teachers and students' parents.With a view to improving the situation,a scientific w ay of reforming CEI is advocated by China's Ministry of Education and it is in this paper interpreted from four aspects: the nature of CEI,needs analysis for CEI,the quality of CEI staff and ECI evaluation system.Accordingly,the trend of CEI reform is anticipated for serving better the overall goal of a better-structured college education,serving better the need of students' ow n specialties and serving better the purpose of students' individual development.
