语域之于近现代散文英译的指导作用刍议

摘　　要：近现代散文由于其独特的时代背景,语言表达和文本特征,在英译过程中可从形式系统与非形式系统两个角度进行考察。在翻译过程中,译者可根据语域中的语场和语旨要素考察原语文本的形式系统与非形式系统要素:根据语场要素的指导,译者可分析规划译文的语篇性质,进而在译文中再现原语文本的音韵词句等形式系统要素;同时,根据语旨要素的指导,译者可考察原文的非形式系统,确保原文意象在译文中再现的完整性和意境传译的可能性。The translation of Chinese essays in modern times is to be investigated from two angles-- the formal system and the non-formal system due to the special historical background, literal expres- sion and the unique literature characteristics of Chinese essays. The translator can also investigate the formal system and non-formal system of the source text under the guidance of field and tenor in register theory during the translation process. With the guidance of ＂field＂, the translator can ana- lyze and arrange the text characteristics, and thus in target text the reproduction of elements in for- mal system, like syllables, words and expressions, etc. Meanwhile, with the guidance of ＂tenor＂, the translator can examine the non-formal system and guarantee the completeness of image represen- tation and the possibility of imagery conveyance in target text.
