大学课程的使命与价值追求——基于对《1828年耶鲁报告》的研究

摘　　要：《关于耶鲁学院教学课程的报告》是19世纪20年代耶鲁学院对当时社会要求大学课程改革的回应。对报告的研究可以发现:耶鲁强调学院教育的本质是奠定完整教育的基础;课程目标设计要基于心智训练和心灵装备;课程内容为古典学科和课程;课程的实施与管理主要为讲座法与导师制。《关于耶鲁学院教学课程的报告》通过澄清课程使命和价值追求,准确表达了美国19世纪上半叶自由教育理念。The Yale Report of 1828 is Yale＇s response to the call for the reform of the curriculum in the twenties of the 19th century. A study of the Report shows that, according to Yale University, the es- sence of college education was to build a foundation for complete education, the target of the curricu- lum should be based on mental training and mental facilities, the course content should include studies of classics and the curriculum should be carried out and managed in the form of lectures and tutorial system. The Yale Report clarifies the mission of the curriculum and the pursuit of value and accurately expresses America＇s idea of free education in the first half of the 19th century.
