摘　　要：美籍华裔作家邝丽莎的小说《雪花与秘密的扇子》讲述了清朝末期湖南江永县的两位女性持续一生的友情。这部小说的成功使人们开始关注"女书"和"老同"等中国传统文化,但由于作者生活和成长在西方文化环境中,所以中国文化环境浸染的缺失无法用资料和调研弥补,作者在小说的创作中最终难以突破东方主义的樊篱。文章通过解析《雪花与秘密的扇子》中的东方主义元素,揭示这位华裔作家对于中国文化的误读。The Chinese - American writer, Lisa See, tells a story about two women＇ s life - long friendship during Qing Dynasty Jiangyong County, Hunan. The success of this novel arouses people＇ s interests in Chinese traditional culture such as ＂Nushu＂ and ＂Laotoug＂. However, the lack of living experience in the Chinese culture cannot be made up by the infor- mation collection and the investigation, and Lisa See does not break the limitation of orientalism in the novel. By analy- zing the orientalistic factors in the novel, this paper reveals Lisa See ＇ s misunderstanding of Chinese Culture.
