摘  要:欧洲中世纪戏剧最显著的特征是宗教性,我们甚至可以把中世纪中前期的戏剧形式看作是对宗教教义的形象化图解,表演者大多是教士。在长达千年的历史进程中,戏剧发展虽然缓慢,但并非如许多学者所认为的那样不受欢迎,到了中世纪后期,其世俗化因素日益增多,平民成为戏剧制作与表演的主力,具有广泛的大众参与性,表演通常在花车上或环绕剧场中举行。The most notable feature of European medieval drama is religion, so we can even regard the form of drama in the early period of the middle ages as a visual illustration of religious teachings and the performers were mostly missionaries. In the thousand years of drama history, although the process of development is slow, it is not the same as what many scholars think. In the late middle ages, the secular factors were increasing, civilians became the main force of performance, with the feature of wide participation, and the performance were made in the float or circle theatre.
