摘 要:动机是二语习得中的一个重要个体因素。本文简要回顾外语学习动机理论发展和演变的历史,重点介绍Gardner和Drnyei的动机模型。对以往研究理论的回顾表明,外语学习动机理论经历了从宏观到微观,从关注社会、文化因素到情景因素,再到学习者自身因素,最后是关注这3种因素动态的相互作用的演变。每一种理论模型的构建都是基于实证研究的结果和在其他学科领域动机理论的基础上对原有理论的扩充和发展。同时,本文也指出目前理论构建中尚未解决的一些问题和未来动机理论发展的方向。Motivation is one of the most important individual variables in second language acquisition (SLA). This article reviews the development and evolution of theories on foreign-language-learning motivations and introduces some influential theories, such as Gardner's and D^rnyei' s theoretical models. The research shows that theoretical development in foreign-language-learning moti- vations has gone through from macro to micro stages, from the focus on social-cultural factors to situational factors, to the lear- ners' factors, to the dynamic interaction of these three factors. Each theory has been established on some empirical evidence and by drawing on motivational theories in other fields and areas, and therefore it has enriched the previous theories. In the end, some gaps not sufficiently addressed by the current motivational theories and future directions in this area are pointed out.
