浅议少数民族文学典籍英译中宗教文化元素的翻译补偿——以《尼山萨满》英译为例

摘　　要：通过对比、分析《尼山萨满》满文转写本、汉译本及英译本中的一些实例,研究了英译文本中几种宗教文化元素的翻译损失问题,提出了翻译补偿在少数民族文学典籍英译中的应用与作用。补偿翻译方法在英译中国少数民族文学典籍中的宗教文化元素时较为常用,有利于忠实有效地传达原文的宗教文化信息,起到译介少数民族文学和文化的作用。By comparing and analyzing the examples from the English translation version, the Chinese translation version and the original Manchu language version of Manchu folklore The Tales of Ni- san Shamaness, this paper studies losses of religious culture elements in its English translation version, proposes the application of translation compensation in the process of ethnic - language - to - English translation of Chinese ethnic minorities＇ literature classics. Compensation method, which is often used to deal with religious culture elements, is more effective in faithfully conveying the original religious culture information, thus helpful for introducing the cultures of Chinese ethnic minorities to readers of the target language
