摘　　要：传统的交通系统虽然在历史的进程中做过巨大贡献,但随着时代的发展,它已有所局限,所以智能交通系统应运而生。交通标志的识别在智能交通系统中占据着十分重要的地位,拟从交通标志识别技术在智能交通系统中的地位和作用入手,探讨交通标志识别的相关技术,侧重于交通标志识别的几类算法,以期提高交通设施的运行效率及行车安全。Although the traditional transportation system has made its contribution, it is not suited to the developmentof the times . The traditional traffic system has been gradually transformed into the intelligent transportation system. Traffic sign recognition of the i^tellige^t tra^xsl^rtatio~ system plays a vet,/important role. Considering the traffic sign recognition techrto[o~ and the devel- opment of intelligent transportation system, the paper discusses the problemrelated to traffic sign recognition, and emphasizes on several kinds of algorithm of the recognition of traffic signs.
