摘　　要：吴廷举,明代诗文家,当时有名的正直之臣。《请修长堤疏》是一篇关于修筑嘉鱼长堤的奏疏,阐述了修筑长堤的必要性和可行性,提出长堤修筑时实施"募工之法"。思想深刻,论证严密,具有较高的价值。Wu Tingju, a famous poet, is also an upright official in Min dynasty, China. ＂The re quest of repairing long causeway memorial to the throne＂ is about a report to the throne for repai- ring Jiayu＇s long causeway. It states the necessity and feasibility and puts forward the method of ＂labor recruit＂ while repairing. It shows profound thoughts, strict arguments and wide applica- tion value.
