摘　　要：中国西南少数民族历史上曾普遍存在图腾外婚。图腾外婚是原始人为了生存目的而逐渐形成的一种行动模式、活动规则与生活习惯,是氏族社会集体表象的重要表现。从本质来说,图腾外婚是原始社会的生存制度或生存设置。Totem exogamy was popular in the past among the minority groups in southwest China. Totem exogamy was an action mode, a rule of activity and the lifestyle of the primitive humans which was gradually formed for survival purposes and a major collective repre- sentation of the clan society. In essence, totem exogamy was the survival system or survival mechanism of the primitive society.
