摘　　要：空间素养在当今信息经济中发挥着重要的作用,如何对空间素养进行培养是现代化教育中需要解决的一个问题。该文从空间认知的角度出发,结合地理信息系统的特点和应用方式,对借助地理信息系统这个工具对学生的空间素养进行培养的可行性展开了探讨,得出了地理信息系统能够推动空间素养教育进程的结论。Spatial Literacy plays an important role in modern information economy,how to enhance the Spatial Literacy of students is an urgent problem needs to be solved in modern education.In this paper, the characteristics and applications of Geographical Information System（GIS）were elaborated,based on this,the possibility of using GIS as a support tool for spatial literacy education,in the term of spatial cognition were explored.The conclusion was shown that GIS could have an influence on the development of spatial literacy education.
