摘　　要：曼斯菲尔德是20世纪初一位杰出的短篇小说家,受当时蓬勃发展的现代主义文艺思潮影响,她借鉴了许多现代主义的写作技巧,从题材和写作技巧两方面对短篇小说创作进行大胆创新。本文以曼氏的短篇小说《幸福》为例,集中分析了现代主义在小说中的成功运用。Mansfield, an excellent novelist in the early 20th century, influenced by the increasingly influential modernism in the literary field, drew on many modernistic writing skills in her short-novel creation and made an innovative contribution to the development and maturity of the modernistic short novel, which distinguishes itself from the traditional one in two major aspects： the theme and writing techniques. This article, taking Bliss, her representative modernistic work, as the example, analyses the successful use of modernism in the short novel.
