摘　　要：转述引语是新闻报道中的重要部分,它被认为可以增强报道的客观性和真实性。以批评话语分析理论为基础,从消息来源、转述方式和转述动词等方面分析了三篇英语新闻报道中的转述引语。研究表明,新闻报道中的转述引语并非绝对客观公正,报道者往往以各种方式对转述引语加以控制,使其按照自己的意识形态和交际目的来展示给读者。As an essential part of news reports, reported speech is believed to be able to improve their authenticity and objectivity. Based on critical discourse analysis, this paper explores three English news reports from tbe perspectives of news sources, reporting mode, and reporting verbs. The iuvestigation shows that the reported speech in news reports is by no means objective or impartial. Reporters more or less control the reported speech by various means, thus present it according to their specific ideologies and communicative purposes.
