摘　　要：通感既是生理和心理现象又是语言文化现象。通感词在英汉语言中普遍存在。通过对比分析英、汉通感词在语音、词汇结构和联想机制的异同,可以增强对英汉语言的理解、鉴赏和使用能力,克服语言交际障碍。Synaesthesia is both a physiological and psychological phenomenon and a language and cultural phenomenon. In English and Chinese, there are synaesthetic words everywhere. This paper gives a contrastive analysis of the accidental similari- ties and the distinguished differences of synaesthetic words of Chinese and English in the aspects of phonetics, formation of words and associating mechanisms, in order to strengthen understanding, appreciating and using of Chinese and English, but al- so remove their barriers of communication.
