摘 要:本研究运用关键词词频和分类统计的方法,比较分析了自2000年以来中美两国国家级有关外语资助项目对提升国家外语能力的影响。中国项目来自国家社科基金、教育部人文社科基金和国家留学基金项目,美国项目来自Title VI和富布赖特-黑斯项目。研究表明,美国有关外语资助项目对提升其外语资源种类与质量有重大作用,而我国应加强对不同外语语种项目的资助,改善资助方式与内容,以使国家资助项目充分发挥提升我国国家外语能力的作用。This study conducts a comparative analysis of the effects on national foreign language capacity produced by Chinese and American national funding programs related to foreign language. Chinese national programs are those funded by the National Social Science Fund, Ministry of Education Fund for Humanities and Social Science, and Chi- na Scholarship Council. American national programs are Title VI and Fulbright-Hays ones. Based on the component framework of foreign language capacity, the study analyses the collected data by the method of keyword frequency. It shows that American national funding programs play a significant role in enhancing American national foreign language capacity. Meanwhile, China should establish more national foreign language funding programs, and improve the mod- el and range of the funding programs so as to enhance Chinese national foreign language capacity.
