摘　　要：许多国内外的语言学家通过研究发现大量的课外阅读对英语学习起着非常重要的作用。本文调查分析了非英语专业学生的课外阅读情况和英语应用能力现状,进而分析制约学生英语应用能力的因素,提出通过大量课外阅读等方法提高学生的英语应用能力。Many linguists fully confirm after-class reading is very important to improve students＆#39; English ability. The paper first analyzes non-English major students＆#39; after-class reading inter-est, reading motivation and the present situation of students＆#39; English ability, etc., and seeks effective methods to improve their English ability.
