摘　　要：文学领域的认知研究为文学作品的阐释拓展了新视角。在认知框架下重新解读海明威的经典小说《白象似的群山》,旨在揭示该作品并非道德主义倾向的小说,而是人们无法承受生活之重而理性地向现实妥协的无奈抉择。作者以偏离常规的叙事手段传达主题含义,体现其特定的个体认知方式。读者如果囿于规约性认知框架就会造成主题阐释的偏离或者误读。Cognition study related to literature has developed literary interpretation. Hemingway＇ s HiUs Like White Elephants can be re-interpreted based on cognitive structure. The aim is to reveal non-moral stance of the theme, but the universal phenomenon that people have to yield to the reality rationally when they are faced with the life more than they can bear. Hemingway applies deviant narrative ways to convey his intended meaning, which .represent his individual ways of cognition. Readers would deviate or misread if they are confined in the conventional ways of cognition.
