摘　　要：《手》给我们呈现了破碎的,敏感的无法说出孤独的人的内心世界。毫无疑问,温·比德本是孤独的,没有亲戚朋友,是被孤立的。他天生有些温顺的、沉默寡言,从而无法打破他被孤立的局面和他的怨恨。笔者认为,他真正成为异类的原因并不是来自外界而是来自他的内心世界。事实上,他太脆弱了以至不能承受打击或抵制扭曲他性格的压力。这是心理素质差和胆怯逆境形成了他失败的真正的原因。这是心理承受能力的问题。Hands provides us with the penetrating insights into the impoverished inner lives of broken, sensitive people, who even cannot articulate their loneliness. There is no doubt that Wing Biddlebaum is lonely, friendless, isola- ted. He is by nature somewhat meek, reticent, and consequently, unable to break out of his isolation and his resentment about it intensifies his dilemma. According to my understanding, the real causes of his grotesqueness are not from the out- side but the inside world of Wing himself. As a matter of fact, he is too frail to endure the shock or to resist the repression that is distorting his personality. It is the lack of psychological endurance and timidity in adversity that constitute the real reasons for Wing＇ s failure. It is just a matter of mental receptivity.
