海峡西岸经济区新公示语英译策略实证研究

摘　　要：公示语具有警示、告知及宣传三种功能。海峡西岸经济区出现了许多新的英汉双语公示语,但其英译立足于原文和原文读者的反应,英文译文存在许多问题。以问卷调查进行实证研究,研究证明,公示语的英文译文首先要以是否达到预期交际目的为中心,要符合原文本的预期目的,在此基础上译者要考虑译文读者的文化特征、表达习惯及约定俗成的规范表达,便于译文读者接受。Public Signs play the role of warning, informing and publicity. The Economic Zone in the Western Strait saw quite a lot of new bilingual Public Signs. However, the English versions are based on the original text and the reaction of the readers in the source language; thus, there exist many problems in English translation of the Public Signs. By questionnaire, the investigation proves that English translation of Public Signs should be intention-oriented, should firstly meet the intended purpose of the, original text, and then, the translator must take the reader＇s cultural identity, habitual expression and acceptive expression intok0onsideration for the reader to easily accept them.
