摘　　要：创意产业的发展推动了首饰设计中各种创意的可能。传统金银、宝石等材质逐渐被各种天然或人造合成材料取代,丰富着设计师的创作空间。其中皮革材料以其独树一帜的实用性、审美性和工艺性受到当代首饰设计师的亲睐。本文通过解析皮革材料的文化内蕴、功能性和其独特的加工工艺,结合现代的设计理念和设计方法,探索皮革材料在当代首饰设计应用中的可行性。The development of creative industry propels the possibility of various innovation in accessory design. Tradi- tional materials such as metals and stones are gradually replaced by natural or manmade materials, which enriched the space of inventions for the designers. Amongst the materials, leather＇s unique practicality, aesthetic and crafting are particularly favourable to contemporary accessory designers. Through the analysis of leather＇s immanence, functionality and its unique processing technology, in combination with contemporary design concepts and methods. This article will explore the feasibility of the application of leather materials in modern accessory design.
