摘　　要：多克托罗是关注历史的美国后现代派作家。他的长篇小说《拉格泰姆时代》以历史与虚构糅合的方式再现二十世纪初期的美国社会面貌,拷问历史的本质,解构上层社会营造的奋斗、成功和进步的历史神话,重构下层群体被压榨、被排斥的艰辛历史境况。通过对历史的解构与重构,小说反映美国历史的一段真实岁月,也折射当代美国社会政治问题,体现出作家的现实关怀。Through combination of history and fiction, E. L. Doctorow in his novel Ragtime represents the U.S. society in early 20th Century, hence questioning the nature of history, deconstructing the myths of serf-improvement, success and progress built by upper-classes, and reconstructing the historical conditions of lower classes in exploitation, exclusion and poverty. By deconstructing and reconstructing the novel presents a genuine rag-time history and hints social political problems in present. It implies the author＇s realist concerns.
