摘　　要：在河谷文明与早期数学至中世纪近代数学形成之前,代数范畴中的方程问题就已经成为数学重要内容之一了.探寻了中国人在这个漫长时期内各个阶段标志性方程的形式和解法,以及古代人的智慧和数学思想的形成.During the period from Valley Civilization and early mathematics to the Middle Age when the modem algebra was formulated, the equation problem in algebra field has been one of the important contents of mathematics. Equations and their solution in this period as well as the ancient Chinese＇ s wisdom and the formulation of mathematical thought are discussed.
