嬉皮士俚语的时空图景

摘　　要：20世纪60年代的嬉皮士"反文化"运动催生了许多时髦的嬉皮士俚语。尽管时隔半个世纪,有些俚语仍经久不衰。嬉皮士俚语在语言风格上精炼、诙谐、生动,在语汇上反抗并挑战美国主流文化,以反体制标榜自我,以极端体验实现自我表达,以群体归属肯定自我,一方面反映了美国上世纪60年代复杂的社会图景,另一方面也是对现代主义"反理性"倾向的回归。The ＂counterculture＂ in American society in the 1960s, represented by hippies in particular, has given rise to large numbers of hippie slang, some still in use even with passage of half a century. The hippie slang is characterized by brevity, wit and vividness in its style and its rebellious attitude towards the American mainstream culture in vocabulary - for self - pride with anti - establishment posture, self - expression with ex- treme ecstasy and self - affirmation by communal living. On the one hand, it draws a big picture of the American society in the fast - transforming 1960s, and on the other braced by modernists. hand, reflects a return to ＂anti -rationalism＂ era-
