摘　　要：随着跨文化交际活动的日益频繁,英汉两种语言的差异性日臻明显。礼貌用语是维系交际的有效手段,了解英汉礼貌用语的差异,可以避免交际失误,达到交际成功。With increasing activities of intercultural communication, more cultural differences appear in the two languages, English and Chinese. An effective means to ensure the communication, the bilingual expressions of courtesy is found essential, that is, understanding of the differences be- tween the expressions in the two languages may help avoid misbehaviors and misunderstanding in communication and achieve the communicative goals.
