摘　　要：学术论文摘要是一种特定的交际事件,具有特定的交际目的和交际对象,因而在语篇结构上不只是提供相关研究信息和对客观事实的陈述,还具有特定的评价和人际等社会功能。对6种不同学科240篇英语论文摘要中具有评价意义的-that从句的研究表明,学术论文作者在摘要中以不同的评价对象、评价源、评价立场和评价方式,借助-that从句明示研究内容和研究发现,或显性评价自己和他人研究结果,表达自己的立场,从而实现其人际交际目的。The abstract of an English academic paper is a particular communicative event, which has particular communicative purposes and objects. Therefore, it not only provides relevant research information and presents objective facts, but also has particular evaluative and interpersonal, functions. Based on the investigation of 240 abstracts of English academic papers chosen from key journals of 6 different disciplines, the paper finds that through various evaluated entities, sources of evaluation, evaluative stance and evaluative expressions, these ab- stracts widely employ the evaluative - that clause, which helps writers to manage their discourses in various ways and to signal a clear stance towards the information they present.
