摘　　要：村民自治是国家推进政治民主化进程中的重要方式。本文通过对西部民族地区藏族村村民在特殊地域和文化背景下通过民主选举、民主决策、民主管理、民主监督来实现村民自治的现实途径分析,总结经验和发现问题,并提出经济发展、制度完善、发展教育在西部民族地区村民自治进程中的重要作用。The political participation is an important form for farmers to carry out democratic rights, by the way of their participation in democratic elections, democratic management, democratic decision--making and democratic supervision activities. Although the framers from western area have improved their demo- cratic consciousness and strengthened the idea of democracy in recent years, however, there are still some problems which needed to be solved, for instance.economic development, systematic construction, the de- velopment of education and strengthening of publicity etc.
