摘　　要：多年来,人们对外语人才的培养一直存在一个认识误区,认为"外语人才就是翻译人才,学好外语就能做好翻译",实际上并非如此。翻译专业硕士的设立打破了人们对于外语人才培养的这一认识误区。翻译专业硕士的培养应以翻译实践为着眼点,以专业特色为依托,着力打造动手能力强、专业知识丰富的翻译职业化人才。For many years, there has existed a faulty idea that ＂foreign language talents are translation talents and learning a foreign language well could be a good translator. ＂ However ,this is not the case. The establishment of MTI has removed the faulty idea of the people about learning a foreign language. The cultivation of MTI is supposed to focus on the translation practice together with specialized features to cultivate translation talents with better translation abilities and a good command of specialties.
