Objective To investigate the relationship between the expressions of chemokine receptor 7 (CXCR7) and Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in colorectal cancer tissues and their clinic opathological features. Methods Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of CXCR7 and VEGF in 73 cases of colorectal cancer tissues and 20 cases of normal tissues near the cancer. Results (1)CXCR7 expression in normal tissue was 20.00 %, the positive expression in cancer tissues was 71.23% , and its expression in colorectal cancer tissues were correlated closely with the extent of tumor invasive, TNM stages and lymph node metastasis (P 〈0.05 ). (2)VEGF expression in normal tissue was 10.00 %, the positive expression in cancer tissues was 67.12% , and its expression in colorectal 'cancer tissues were correlated closely with the extent of tumor invasive, TNM stages and lymph node metastasis (P〈0.05). (3)Spearman rank correlation analysis showed that both the expression in colorectal cancer showed a positive correlation (rs = 0.629, P 〈0.05). Conclusion CXCR7 and VEGF play an important role in the development, invasion and metastasis of colorectal cancer, and may be involved in tumor angiogenesis providing the material basis of tumor progression.
