摘 要:研究了极区航海图编制中墨卡托投影的可用性.针对长度变形大对墨卡托投影极区可用性的限制,通过调整基准纬度、确定合理的最大长度变形和合适图幅纬差等方法控制长度变形,提高墨卡托投影的极区可用性;在借鉴国内外海图编绘规范和外版极区航海图编制经验的基础上,探讨了墨卡托投影海图的最大长度变形范围;分析了可编制的墨卡托海图比例尺区间及图幅形式.结果表明,纬度75°~ 85°间墨卡托投影仍能在较大程度上满足极区航海图编制需要.Availability of Mercator projection in Polar nautical charts' compilation is studied in this paper. Availability of Mercator projection is confined in polar regions because of gross distance distortion, methods such as standard parallel adjustment, proper determination of maximum distance distortion as well as chart latitude coverage range can be used to control distance distortion and thence enhance availability of Mercator projection in polar regions. Appropriate maximum distance distortion under different scales is discussed by references from nautical charts compilation specifications and Russian polar nautical charts. Scale scopes and sheet types which are available for Mercator nautical charts in polar regions are analyzed, the results indicates that Mercator projection between latitude 75° and 85° is still available in compilation of nautical charts.
