摘　　要：汉至唐时期肃慎、挹娄、勿吉、靺鞨名称的出现具有复杂的历史背景,"挹娄"、"勿吉"分别出于夫余人、拓跋鲜卑人对该地域族群的称呼;"肃慎"是魏晋中原士大夫基于挹娄人特殊交往习俗将其与先秦肃慎人联系起来,这种联系承载着证明其王朝拥有正统地位的重要政治含义;"靺鞨"则是改朝换代后北齐人将"勿吉"改写音近字的结果。自曹魏初年,这一族群便开始向中原王朝朝贡,魏晋时期主要诣边郡朝贡,东晋十六国到隋唐王朝主要诣阙朝贡,同时受边郡管理。尽管东部高句丽国与西部突厥汗国一度干扰、控制了该族群的朝贡活动,但从长时段看该族群一直保持了与中原王朝的朝贡关系,尤其是盛唐时期在靺鞨地区设置羁縻府州后,靺鞨诸部与唐朝的朝贡关系更加紧密。In the period from the Han to Tang Dynasty,the names of Sushen(肃慎),Yilou(挹娄),Wuji(勿吉),Mohe(靺鞨) appeared in a very complicated historical background.Yilou,Wuji were names used by Fuyu(夫余) and Tuobaxianbei(拓跋鲜卑) to call this people,the name of Sushen(肃慎) was used by the literati and officialdom in central China,connecting the ethnicities to the old Sushen people in the pre-Qin dynasty period based on their similar customs and also in order to testify the orthodox of their contemporary dynasties.Mohe(靺鞨) was the transliteration of Wuji(勿吉) called by people of Beiqi(北齐) dynasty.From the early years of the Cao-Wei(曹魏) dynasty,this people began to pay tribute to dynasties in central China.In the period of Wei-Jin(魏晋),they went to the borderland prefectures to give their tribute to be transferred to the courts.In the period from the Sixteen kingdoms to the Tang dynasty,they paid tribute directly to the courts and were under the governing of the borderland prefectures.Although Gaogouli in the east and Turki in the west tried to interfere and hinder their tributary activities,in the long run,they kept their tributary relations with the dynasties in central China.Especially in the prosperous period of Tang dynasty,Jimi(羁縻) prefecture and counties were established in Mohe area,Mohe people sustained a more intimate tributary relationship with the Tang dynasty.
