摘　　要：布林顿的《西方近代思想史》是研究近代西方思想史的一部优秀著作,作者以独特的视角论述了西方近代思想发展的历史。从思想史的多向性特征入手,对其思想内容的多向性、相同及不同时代思想关系的多向性、研究方法的多向性等四方面进行了归纳梳理。The book Modern Western Intellectual History written by Brinton is an excellent work, in which the author discusses modern western intellectual history with a unique point of view. The paper begins with the multi-direction of intellectual history, and makes conclusions from the following aspects:the mulif-directions of thoughts content, thoughts relations in the same and different times, and the research methods.
