摘　　要：重复是诗歌中常见的修辞手法,但某一句子没有任何变化或基本没有变化在小说中重复出现的现象并不常见。福克纳在《喧哗与骚动》中大量重复某些句子,这并非像某些评论家所批评的那样是因为他没有受过良好教育的原因,而是他对艺术创新孜孜追求,精心设计、匠心独运的结果。《喧哗与骚动》中的句子重复深化了语意,强化了主题。Repetition is a frequent rhetorical device in poetry. Repetition of identical or almost identical sentences is not comon in fiction. Faulkner, however, violated this convention in his masterpiece The Sound and the Fury. This repetition is not the result of his lack of formal education as many early criticisms have contended, but is artistically motivated, and carefully organized and planned. His repetition produces some emotional effects in the reader and enhances the theme.
