Objective To investigate the correlation between the severity of fatty liver and serum biochemical detection indicators. Methods 90 patients with different levels of fatty liver were treated in our hospital from January 2012 to June 2013 and they were divided into three groups according to the severity of the fatty liver: the mild group, the moderate group and the severe group, respectively. 30 healthy adults' serum biochemical detection indicators at the same period in our hospital were selected as the control group. The primary outcome was an comparative analysis of the severety of the fatty liver and the serum biochemical detection indicators according to the severity of the fatty liver. Results The indicators except for GLU of the mild group were significantly higher than those of the control group (P〈0.05). The indicators except for GLU of the moderate group were significantly higher than those of the mild group (P〈0.05). All the indicators of the severe group were significantly higher than those of the moderate group (P〈0.05). Conclusions The the severity of fatty liver is closely related to serum biochemical detection indicators, therefore, serum biochemical test results can provide accurate scientific guidance for the course of disease and treatment of fatty liver.
