摘　　要：采用文献资料法,分析了明治时期日本由封建弱国一跃成为资本主义强国这一过程中学校体育所发挥的作用。认为学校体育是明治时期日本近代教育的重要组成部分,是进行军事预备教育的有效手段,也极大促进了日本国民体质的改善,因而是日本富国强兵的重要手段,为日本成为世界强国以及实现国家利益发挥了重要作用。This paper adopts literature method to analyze the role of school sports in Japan＇ s turning process from a weak and feudal country to a capitalist power in the Meiji period, believing that school sports constitutes a vitat part in Japan＇ s modern education in the Meiji period and it is an important means to pre - military education. Besides, it also improved its national physique on the whole. School sports can be described as an important measure to enrich the country and increase its military force, which plays a significant role in turning the country into a world power.
