摘　　要：本文针对高职院校理工科的专韭英语课程性质、定位和教学方法进行了分析，指出目前高职院校理工科的专业英语课程在教材选取、教学模式中存在的不足。并针对高职院校理工科的专业英语课程定位、教材的选取和教学模式及方法给出了几点建议。This paper analyzed the nature, orientation and teaching methods of Professional English courses for Science and Engineering majors at the vocational colleges, pointed out that the deficiencies of teaching material selection and teaching models of the professional English courses in Science and Engineering Majors in vocational college. Finally, it gave us some suggestions on the orientation, materials selection and teaching models and methods of professional English for Science and Engineering Majors in Vocational colleges.
