摘　　要：1.引言 随着Web和Web技术的发展,互联网应用系统变得日益广泛.同时,其规模越来越大,结构变得越来越复杂.此外,对互联网应用系统的动态性、灵活性和易维护性的需求也使得其设计、开发和维护变得越来越困难.In most cases,the Web application development has been lacking systematic approaches and quality control procedures. Hence ,there is now growing concern about the manner in which Web applications are developed and their long-term quality. Web engineering, an emerging new discipline, promotes the establishement and use of sound scientific, engineering and management principles, and advocates a disciplined and systematic approach to design, development and maintenance of Web applications. This paper presents an introductory overview on Web engineering, the concept and features of Web engineering,and a comparison between Web engineering and the traditional software engineering. Also,several key problems that must be solved in Web engineering are pointed out.
