摘　　要：园林生态学现已引起各界的关注，作者认为园林生态学是一类应用性的生态学，以人类生态学为基础，与城市生态学、景观生态学密切相关，园林规划设计应作为一项生态工程来进行。园林生态学是研究园林可能影响范围内的人类生活、资源使用、环境质量和美观四者之间的关系及调节途径。文中对园林学的名称、内涵、结构、功能与应用作了讨论。： Landscape ecology has brought to attention of various circles. Author considers that Landscape ecology is a kind of applied ecology， which is based on human ecology and closely related with urban ecology and landscape ecology． Landscape planning and design should be regarded as an ecological project． Landscape ecology studies the relationships between man's life， resource utilization， environment quality and artistic in the space which could be influenced by garden and its adjust ways． The paper has made a discussion on the name， connotation， structure， function and application of landscape architecture.
