摘　　要：目的 :了解我国城市 12～ 18岁人群牙齿美观程度和正畸治疗需要情况。方法 :按国际牙齿美学指数(DAI)调查项目及标准 ,采用随机抽样方法 ,对 330名 12～ 18岁学生进行测量计算。结果 :男性DAI均值为2 4.90 ,女性为 2 3.34 ,两者之间差异具有显著性。总体DAI均值为 2 4.14。结论 :12～ 18岁人群中男性牙齿美观程度低于女性 ,正畸治疗需要高于女性。Objective: Our aim was to survey the conditions on dental aesthetics and their need for orthodontic treatment among students from 12 to 18 years old in China. Methods: Three hundred and thirty students were investigated according to the standards of the Dental Aesthetic Index ( DAI ) survey. Results: The mean of DAI is 24.14, 24.90 in male and 23.34 in female. There was a statistical difference between two genders. Conclusion: In the target population, the dental appearance of male seemed less acceptable than that of female, thus more men need orthodontic treatment.
