摘　　要：泡沫聚苯乙烯 (EPS)作为一种超轻型材料 ,具有一定的强度和稳定性 ,用于路堤填筑工程可以显著地减少路堤引起的地基沉降和对桥台台背产生的侧土压力 ,提高地基稳定性 ,为解决桥头跳车问题提供了一种新的方法。With a super low density but rather high strength and chemical stability, EPS can be used in embankment filling to reduce the settlement of roadbed and to reduce the lateral pressure on bridge piles. It can also increase the stability of roadbed remarkably and reduce the unequal settlement of road and bridge. This paper introduces the mechanical properties of EPS and its application in the embankment filling of a bridge.
