摘 要:从层变形是分子间作用结果的观点考虑,依据近晶相液晶的对称性,推导出了一种新的近晶相连续体理论,与Gennes理论不同,该理论用分子指向矢n→来描述液晶的自由能,从而使理论表述从物理上讲更易理解。最后给出证明,论证这两种表述在本质上是可互换的。Based on the concept that the layer deformation in smectic liquid crystals should be a combination of the molecular interaction, a new expression of continuum theory for smectic C liquid crystals is derived out with the consideration of the symmetry breaking in the nematic smectic phase transition, which employs molecular director n→ rather than C director or layer normal that are used to describe the layer deformation in Gennes continuum theory In comparison with previous expression, the transformation between these two expressions is performed with a proper explanation of the parameters B i, B ij , A ij , C i and D i used in previous theory, which are proved to be correlated with each other and can be expressed by elastic constants of smectic liquid crystal material
