摘　　要：针对新形势下高校情报工作的不适应状态,提出垂直信息服务这一概念,说明垂直信息服务通过提供专门化、个性化、精品化、高技术和创造性的服务,展示了现代信息技术的优势,使新形势下用户的需要得到极大满足,并促成情报工作按市场规律运作的新机制,是新形势下高校情报工作的一种值得关注的新方式。Based on the concept of vertical information service,this article introduces the features of vertical information services and user’s positive feedback to the service.It also emphasizes the advantages of information technology application in library service.
